These drawn chalk marks and lines emerge out of his imagination on to the canvas rather, as he has also suggested, as if they were from a notebook or on a blackboard, and then the mysterious journey begins, with hints of night skies and star maps, their nocturnal ambiguity suggestive of eccentric encounters à la Miró. This particular group at The Cello Factory is about transitions, the passage from one state to another. If that sounds vague, the reality is dreams and atmospheres made concrete.
