SOUTH EAST OPEN STUDIOS 2009 This years’ South East Open Studios is celebrating it’s largest ever year with over 270 artists taking part throughout Kent and East Sussex. The annual event which takes place this year between 5 and 21 June gives visitors the opportunity to meet artists in their studios and talk to them about their work. With such a large number of artists taking part, a number of art trails have been created for visitors. These trails include routes by car, foot or bicycle. A full list of routes will be available on the SEOS website from the end of May. Participating artists include professional and keen amateurs from a wide variety of art practices as well as those who have sold internationally. Each studio is different and many artists will be demonstrating their art. Guides which also double up as directory of artists will be available from the end of May in local libraries, tourist information offices and also online at www.seos-art.org . The website also has a wealth of information about participating artists as well as a search facility for different art practices.
