William Marshall and Leach-related Ceramics

An exhibition of ceramics by the great Leach potter William (Bill) Marshall (1923-2007), to

launch the new limited edition book by Peter Maber, William Marshall: Organic Vision.

William Marshall began working at the Leach pottery aged just 14, and went on to devote

his life to ceramics. This first book on the remarkable potter contains an essay and 37 colour

plates, which bring the pots out into the West Cornwall landscapes that were one of

Marshall’s primary influences.

Also in the show will be pots with a Leach connection, including work by David Leach, Trevor

Corser, and some excellent examples of ‘Standard Ware’.
