WINDSOR CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR 2012
10TH & 11TH November
ROYAL WINDSOR RACECOURSE
Popular key arts event returns for eighth year
The Windsor Contemporary Art Fair returns bringing style and elegance to
Royal Windsor Racecourse.
Around 120 of the UK’s finest artists and galleries are brought together for this one
weekend, exhibiting and selling fine art, prints, photography and sculpture with price
tags from £40 to £4,000, putting collectable contemporary art well within reach.
The appeal of the fair lies in its very broad range of two dimensional and three
dimensional art work with sophisticated and stylish works of art from traditional
landscapes to contemporary abstracts. The event caters for art enthusiasts and
collectors as well as those keen to learn more about art. As one of only a few fairs
operating for both independent artists and galleries it allows visitors to meet and buy
from artists directly and also see a more comprehensive range from professional
galleries.
New artists exhibiting at the fair this year include:
Fiona Carver whose original prints and lino cuts are inspired by the sea and the
simplicity of old seaside railway posters. Her prints have a nostalgic feel with the
clear lines, compositions and colours evoking memories of particular British coast
lines.
Sheffield based fine artist Steve Elliott whose atmospheric landscapes of the Peak
District National Park in vibrant colour have won awards and are held in private and
public collections both in the UK and overseas.
Pauline Fowler a sculptor turned photographer whose magical prints of animals,
birds and plants are created by using multiple images and enhancing them with
texture. .
Whether you are looking to start or add to your contemporary fine art collection, or if
you just want to find out more about the art scene come along to the fair. Organiser
Sarah McAllister says “We feel sure visitors will relish having the opportunity to
source beautiful art work that you just can’t find on the high street and taking home
something that’s individual.”
The fair continues to support the Prince’s Trust through the sale of miniature
original canvases painted and donated by the exhibiting artists. All proceeds will go
to the Trust to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people in the Berkshire
Area.
The Fair will be held on10th & 11th November 2012 at Royal Windsor Racecourse .
Tickets are available on the door at £7 per person, £6 for concessions and children 5
