Windsor Contemporary Art Fair

14th-15th November 2015

Championing the most exciting artists working in the UK and Europe today,

Windsor Contemporary Art Fair brings you into contact with both award-

winning and emerging artists.

This year you will have the chance to meet BBC One’s winner of 'The Big

Painting Challenge', Paul Bell; who will be exhibiting and available to talk

about his career, and experience under the national spotlight.

Along with a wide range of award-winning and nationally recognised talent

like: recipient of the Pro Arte Award (2014), the Colart Award (2012) & the

Golden Award (2010) for her paintings at the NAPA National Exhibitions, Lisa

Traxler; ZSL Wildlife Photography 2015 Perfect Moment Runner-up, Tom Way

and Artist of the Year for Artists and Illustrators Magazine, Camilla Dowse.

A Heart of Glass will be bringing a new British artist, Elliot Walker, who was a

finalist in the prestigious British Glass Biennale, and won the highly regarded

national Craft & Design magazine award. Featured in both the International

Artist Magazine and American Art Collector Magazine, Kristine Nason will be

showing following a solo exhibition at The Savill Building in Windsor Great Park.

For over a decade, the artists presented by the founders, Sarah McAllister and

Deborah James, have been a mixture of nationally recognized and new

talent, and those who have gone on to become well known.

Deborah James says, “Over the years we have been consistently selected by

renowned artists to exhibit, who welcome the opportunity to showcase their

work to a wider audience, and grow their engagement with real people

outside the art world.”

Sarah McAllister says, “It’s also one of the greatest pleasures to spot a talent,

an artist we believe in, and watch them grow to become established in the

art world, and loved by people.”

Drawing the attention to the unique perspectives of the artists, and dissolving

the barriers between the artists and those who love art, is one of the highlights

of the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair weekend.

It is the chance to get to know a celebrated artist in person, and have a

direct conversation with them about their work. Many of the artists have

fascinating stories to tell which often inspire their creations.

It is a chance to get to know the artist of a work you have fallen in love with,

commission something unique to you in a style you have a passion for, or find

something that becomes a conversation piece in your home.

Many people enjoy becoming part of an artist’s social network, or enjoy the

discovery of and philanthropic support of a rising star. Being around, involved

in, and living with Art is life-affirming and invigorating.

There will also be workshops run by Reading’s flagship Arts Co Op, Jelly, the

famous, collectable one-off works, especially created to raise money for the

Prince’s Trust, and interactive projects to add to the experience.

Once again, Windsor Contemporary Art Fair has ensured a truly national and

European flavour, with artists of all media in attendance from all around the

continent.

“You can meet the stars and the rising stars, which will be your favourites at

the end of your visit?”
