With a typically imaginative theme, ‘Feeling’, derived from the Tolstoy quotation “Art is not handicraft, it is the transmission of feeling the artist has experienced” and a disting- uished judging panel, the arts administrator David Moore and artist Sue Hiley-Harris, Hanselaar’s intensely moving and expressive figure study entitled Holding on to you makes for an impressive winner of a competition that attracted over 300 entries.
