Mon–Fri 9–5, BHols closed, admn free artscentre@brunel.ac.uk www.brunel.ac.uk/beldamgallery t 01895 266074 Website selling is becoming an increasingly attractive option, especially for galleries outside London or the major centres. The latest recruit is Samuel Robson Fine Art whose 8th Annual Exhibition of Modern British Art (plus a selection of Patrick Hughes’ Multiples) in his Oakham gallery this December will also, sadly, be his last before he starts trading primarily on the internet via his website www.srfagallery.com and by appointment. Earlier this autumn Brunel University’s always lively gallery, the Beldam , moved into a handsome and much more prominent new space in the spanking new Eastern Gateway Building on their Uxbridge Campus. If you’ve never been, now is a good moment as their new show of two excellent West London abstract painters, Ray Rankine and Jane Greer, entitled ‘Source’, takes an interesting look at how artists make use of their particular, and contrasting, sources – Rankine’s with the results of human activity, ie demolition sites or urban graffiti, and Greer’s with the landscape and the way time veils it in memories.
