While too much technique can often end up in an irritating showiness, Green’s art is underpinned by such love and understanding of his subject, reminiscent at times of the old 18th/19th C. capriccio tradition, that loaded as they are with information, things never get out of hand, the mixture of drawing and printing always conveying an absolutely bang on contemporary feeling.
