Entitled ‘Moments of Imagination’ Slattery has conjured up a typically vivid range of pictorial ideas here which cleverly reference all sorts of Biblical and mythological sources – ‘Reading to Birds’ for example, strongly suggests St Francis of Assisi but no more than that – an approach very much reflecting Slattery’s often stated and commendable wish to leave something to the individual viewer to complete imaginatively . . .
