Mon–Fri 10–6 art@hamiltonsgallery.com www.hamiltonsgallery.com t 020 7499 9494 Kurt Jackson ‘On top of the Shard’ Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, drawings, watercolours, even jewellery – Kurt Jackson’s latest project, ‘The Thames Revisited’ at the Redfern Gallery, also marks a welcome return to those marvellous Jackson schemes of old – and not often, if ever, seen in a London gallery – where he explores a particular geography in terms of a whole variety of different, often quite unconventional, media. It makes for a wonderful sense of adventure, both artistic and physical, as Jackson returns to the River Thames theme he first took up in 2006 but had had to then leave, as he felt, distinctly incomplete. And, quite apart from the different media involved here, there is also the sight of Jackson taking on the town and city-scapes en route as well – Reading, Richmond, and, of course, London, all to great effect.
