Tues–Sat 11–5 colin@thesuttongallery.com www.thesuttongallery.com t 07854 972930 George Devlin ‘Oysters and Chablis’ George Devlin has been a notable figure on the Scottish art scene for many decades. Another distinguished product of Glasgow School of Art he has worked successfully in a range of different genres, but is most associated with his vibrant high chromatic landscapes in the Colourist tradition. All his work, in oil or watercolour, has a vitality and immediacy which is a result of his superb skill as an “en plain air” painter. An inveterate traveller he has worked and shown all over the world, but is always warmly welcome in his home city. ( Roger Billcliffe Gallery , until 24 May, map 2.) Bill Hare THUMB nails
