Galleries - October 2014

cambridge city art fair The Guildhall, Cambridge 10 - 12 October 2014 Although only in its second year, Cambridge City Art Fair already seems well on the way to becoming an established event within the eastern region. With 45 galleries participating, this year’s fair at The Guildhall is a full house, the range of work on show covering a really wide spectrum – from 18/19th C. to 20th C. and Contemporary – from the UK and around the world. This time too they have added a really enterprising series of talks and presentations by curators and artists from the region. As the organisers say, “you no longer need to go to London art fairs to see the best galleries – they’re coming to you!” Meanwhile here’s a selection of what some of the galleries will be presenting . . . 1 3 4 5 CARINA HASLAM FINE ART Stand F3 Artists include Evelyn Armstrong, Alain Kurylo, Fiona McRae, Alison McWhirter, Craig Mooney, John O’Connor, Rebecca Polyblank, Janet Shrimpton, Colin Willey Image 1 : Alison McWhirter, Spring Blooms Blue Glass GALLERY JKL – Stand C6 Artists include Georges Coran, André Cottavoz, Patrick Delaunay, Virginie Mezan de Malartic, Peter Moore, Fanny Pochon, Maurice Savin Image 2 : Georges Coran, Les Pastèques Jaunes (Yellow Watermelons) , 1962 LINDA BLACKSTONE GALLERY Stand A1/A2 Artists include Dganit Blechner, Sebastien Levigne, Bernard Saint- Maxent, Ian Mastin, Anne-Marie Butlin, Richard Baker, Susan Brown, Eoghan Bridge, Rosa Sepple Image 3 : Richard Baker , St John’s College May Week , mixed media, 50 x 70cm LIME TREE GALLERY – Stand E3 Artists include Judith I Bridgland, Michael Clark, Stephen Lindsay, Robert Newton, Peter King, Philip Richardson, David Smith, Peter Wileman Image 4 : David Smith, Midsummer Night, Orkney WOODBINE CONTEMPORARY ARTS Stand B5/B6 Artists include Daniel Crouch, Charles Harrison, Juliet Holton, Emma Jackson, Michael Murfin, Julie Needham, Ailsa Read, David Strickland Image 5 : Juliet Holton, 0109141L, mixed media on board, 91 x 91 cm 2
