Jack Kerouac called him a genius and now H amiltons Gallery has a refined collection of his works on show into May. This is an opportunity to study the object and image of his works which should not be missed by students, historians and anyone wanting to look down the telescope that photography gives us backward in time. Frank’s 1953 immersion into the small mining town of Caerau, south Wales and his social observations of a personal life laid the basis of his method of observation which resulted in his pivotal publication of the ‘The Americans’ in the 1960s. International exhibitions followed and here is a first hand opportunity to see origial prints of these significant works.
