The exhibition brings together 27 of nearly 900 works it has acquired and given to museums and galleries. Artists include Brenda Chamberlain, Merlyn Evans, Shani Rhys James, Gwen John, David Nash, Cedric Morris and Ceri Richards. The exhibition opens at the National Eisteddfod, in the brilliant red brick Pierhead buildingon Cardiff’s waterfront, alongside the prestigious annual Eisteddfod exhibition, ‘Y Lle Celf’ (the art space). It then tours to Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, MOMA Machynlleth and Swansea’s Glynn Vivian. Both Eisteddfod exhibitions are free entry and open to all in Cardiff Bay from 4 to 11 August.
