Mon–Sat 10–6 t 0114 285 2665 karen@cupolagallery.com I cupolacontemporaryart t @cupolagallery f cupolacontemporaryart www.cupolagallery.com Trained originally as a textile designer at the Royal College of Art, Chloe Holt’s subsequent career has gone in a very different direction, over the last decade or so morphing into that of an extremely successful painter, winning the Kyffin Williams Drawing Prize in 2012 and becoming the youngest ever artist elected as a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy in the same year. Born in Chester and based in the North West, this is Holt’s second show within a year at F ynn y Parc Gallery, and you can see why the work, largely of still life and landscape subjects, has proved so successful, its bold and expressive impasto technique conveying a huge sense of emotional engagement.
