She studied at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1970s and early 80s and has also taught there. Included in many private and corporate collections worldwide, she has participated in a long list of group and solo exhibitions throughout the UK. Anthony Garratt is described as ‘an experimental painter of landscape’. Working outdoors at the mercy of the elements which frequently change the painting, this then becomes an integral part of the story. Trained at Chelsea and Falmouth art colleges, he is a member of the Royal West of England Academy and has shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. In 2012 the BBC asked him to paint the Diamond Jubilee Pageant from London’s Millennium Bridge. Since 2015 he has tutored at Newlyn School of Art.
