ALTERED STATES Open Air Exhibition of Sculpture Saturday May 29 to Sunday June 27 open daily 11am to 4pm free entry all works for sale ShawHouse, Church Road, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 2DR Acclaimed sculptors from all over the UK including Jeni Cairns, Sara Ingleby-Mackenzie, Ian Marlow, Nicolas Moreton and Michael Chaikin are showing work at Shaw House in Newbury this month and in June, providing the visitor with a chance to see and buy a creative mixture of traditional, modern and cutting-edge contemporary work. Some 60 sculptures are exhibited in stone, bronze, bronze resin, wood and metal. Entry to the exhibition is free, all works are for sale and the catalogue and price list can be viewed online. Shaw House is an Elizabethan Manor, onetime headquarters for King Charles l during the second battle of Newbury in 1644. The beautiful landscaped grounds make a stunning setting for the sculpture park. Just one hour’s train ride from London, Shaw House is within walking distance from the market town of Newbury. Last September some 3000 visitors came to the 2020 exhibition, enjoying viewing the works in the sunshine and happy to be released from the confines of lockdown. www.alteredstatessculptures.co.uk
